The loan agreement was signed in 2017 and Phase 1 commenced in January 2018. The Ministry is in Phase 3 of the CAF Project.
Under the CAF Project, priority is given to long connecting roads with heavy traffic volume and residential access. Key segments of the primary road network, including drainage, sidewalks, bridges, culverts, and safety features are being rehabilitated.
Roads under the CAF Project will be rehabilitated with two types of surfaces (i) asphalt or (ii) roller compacted concrete (RCC).
