The Tree Trimming Unit of the Ministry of Transport and Works is only responsible for trimming trees which impact the roadway. It also assists with the maintenance of trees at schools from time to time.

However, the Tree Trimming Unit does not trim or cut trees on private properties. Property owners are encouraged to put a proper maintenance system in place to care for their trees.

To report trees in need of trimming along the roadways, contact the depot within the area, or you may submit your complaint to the Tree Trimming Section at 536-0135 or to the Information Unit via email at information.unit@publicworks.gov.bb or by directly messaging our Facebook or Instagram @mtwbarbados
