Milling & Paving scheduled for Highway 5: JTC Ramsay Circle to Cutting Road, St. Michael

From Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Infra Construction Inc., in association with the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW), will mill and pave from the JTC Ramsay Circle (Bussa Roundabout) in Haggatt Hall to Cutting Road, St. Michael. The work is expected to take approximately five nights from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

During the work, the exit at the JTC Ramsay Circle will be closed. Motorists seeking to access Highway 5 will need to detour back onto the roundabout and take another exit of their choice.

Transport Board buses and motorists travelling out of the city will divert at the JTC Ramsay Circle, travel along the ABC Highway, Mount Friendship, and onto Mapp Hill.  Buses and motorists heading towards Bridgetown will travel from Mapp Hill onto Mount Friendship, the ABC Highway to the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute Roundabout and then onto the JTC Ramsay Circle.

Access will be given to Transport Board buses and Public Service Vehicles (PSV) during the milling phase. However, during paving, the road will be closed and the diversion routes will be in effect. Motorists are encouraged to follow the instructions of the traffic wardens and the signs posted. MTW and Infra Construction Inc. apologise for the inconvenience and thank businesses, residents, and motorists for their understanding and cooperation.
