The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) is advising road users that the median U-turn intersection, commonly known as the lollipop, between the D’Arcy Scott Roundabout and Welches Roundabout on the Ronald Mapp Highway, will be closed from Saturday, April 26th at 8:30 p.m. to Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 at 6:00 a.m.
This is to allow B&R Infrastructure Ltd. to mill and pave this section of road under MTW’s ongoing Highway Maintenance Programme.
During this period, the northbound lanes and the southbound lanes of the Ronald Mapp Highway will remain open. However, motorists travelling north who wish to make a U-turn at the median U-turn intersection should continue instead to the Welches Roundabout to access the southbound lanes of the Ronald Mapp Highway. Road users are encouraged to obey signage and flag personnel and to proceed with caution while driving through the area.
