Road Marking
The Road Marking crew of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will remark the newly paved section of highway from the D’Arcy Scott Roundabout to the Welches Roundabout after some delay due to inclement weather. The northbound and southbound lanes from the bottom of BET Hill to the turn off near Pine East/West Boulevard, St. Michael, will also be remarked. The pedestrian crossing in Arch Hall, St. Thomas, near the Fire Station on Highway 2A, will be repainted. Reflective studs (cat eyes) will also be installed along Highway 2A. Work will be done from Monday to Thursday, between 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to avoid speeding through work areas while road markings are being done, as this endangers the lives of workers and damages the freshly painted road markings.
