The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) and its contractor C.O. Williams Construction Limited are advising road users and residents that a section of Prior Park Road, St. James, in the vicinity of the “s-bend”, will be closed for approximately three weeks from tomorrow Friday, February 28, 2025.
This is to facilitate deep excavation and the cutting of rock on the eastern side of the road to straighten the roadway. The team will work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Motorists are encouraged to detour via Thorpes Main Road, seek alternate routes where possible, and obey signage and directions given by flag personnel. MTW and the C.O. Williams Construction team apologize for any inconvenience and thank road users and residents for their cooperation.
