ALTERATIONS & EXTENTIONS

An electrical alteration is required for

A 3-wire or 4-wire service where the metering configuration is being changed by addition or subtraction of service meters.
Upgrade of the main service entrance cables only on 3-wire or 4-wire services.
Relocation of existing 3-wire or 4-wire service meters to a different location on the house or underground to an external kiosk.

An application for an alteration is not applicable when

Changing from a 2-wire supply to a 3-wire supply.
Changing from a single phase to a three-phase or vice versa.
When modifying a building with a 2-wire service.

Forms can also be collected from the GEED’s front desk at Verona House, Bank Hall, St. Michael. Please note that the application can only be facilitated by a licensed electrician.
