The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW), in collaboration with the C.O. Williams Construction team, is advising road users and residents that a section of Tom Adams Highway between Kooyman Barbados and the Deighton Griffith Secondary School in Christ Church, will be closed nightly for approximately two weeks from Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The team will work from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night as part of the Highway Maintenance Programme, which is a preventative maintenance strategy to help protect the subbase and improve the longevity of roads with high traffic volumes.
Motorists going in the direction of Bridgetown are encouraged to detour via Highway 6 and rejoin via Kendal Hill, or via Kingsland/Gall Hill. Motorists heading east will be detoured either left or right at the Edwy Talma Roundabout. Road users are asked to seek alternative routes where possible, and obey signage and directions given by flag personnel.
MTW and C.O. Williams Construction team apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank the public for its patience. (PR/MTW)
