ROAD WORKS ACTIVITIES FOR DECEMBER 23 – 27, 2024

Footpath construction in Belleplaine, St Andrew by the team from the Haggatts Depot.

The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) and its contractors take this opportunity to extend Season’s Greetings to Barbados and encourages all road users to be safe, vigilant and extend courtesy to their fellow road users.

Please slow down and stop when you encounter a yellow and a red traffic signal and use your indicators when ever you are making a turn.

As we celebrate this weekend and into the last few days before Christmas, MTW encourages the members of the  public to reduce their speed and stay within the speed limits and DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Please take note the Ministry’s contractors are on their annual Christmas break and will resume work in January, 2025. MTW’s Paving Unit and Road Marking Crews are also on break until early January.

Motorists are advised to slow down and be cautious when passing through areas that are currently undergoing road repairs.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year from the Management and staff of the Ministry of Transport and Works.
