Road Marking
The day crew of the Road Marking section of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will install fingertip signs and repair damaged signs in the St. Michael area, Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., weather permitting. The night crew will also complete the installation of reflective studs (cat eyes) along the Mighty Grynner Highway and on Pine East/West Boulevard, St. Michael and Prior Park Road, St. James, from Monday to Thursday between 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to avoid speeding through work areas while road markings and other works are being done, as this endangers the lives the lives of workers and damages the freshly painted road markings.

Ongoing road works
St. Philip – Manual weeding is being done in Ruby Development while manhole and culvert reconstruction continues at Leadvale and Four Road. Slipper and kerb construction is occurring at Eastbourne and Cox Hill. Pothole patching throughout the districts.
Christ Church – Repairs to a culvert in Leadvale continue while in Lower Greys(near Yorkshire Road) repairs to a headwall and footpath also continue. Debushing and drainage works are planned for Maloney Drive and Wilcox. Pothole patching will be carried out in Chancery Lane, Maloney Drive, Wilcox, Inch Marlow, Hopewell, Kingsland, Fairy Valley, Breedy Land and St. Davids Main Road.
St. George – Weeding continues in Belair and Middleton while the masonry crew continues work in Valley View where speed humps are to be constructed. Mechanical debushing is being done in Jericho while pothole patching will be carried out in Bydes Mill, Drax Hall, Thorpes, Cottages and Highway 4.
St. John – Weeding will be done in Haynes Hill while debushing is to be carried out at the Bath Depot. Masonry works are continuing in Cherry Grove and Malvern. Pothole patching is scheduled for Colleton, Clifton Hall and Colleton.
St. Lucy – Concrete works are being carried out in Cave Hill Drive while drainage works are being done at Checker Hall and Broomfield. Mechanical debushing will be carried out in Alexandria and Nesfield. Pothole patching is scheduled for Greenidges, Brighton Hall, Connell Town, Content and Northcumberland.
St. Peter – Concrete works are being carried out at Castle and Retreat Road while weeding and debushing are being done at Date Tree Hill. Pothole patching will be done in Portland to Boscobelle, Diamond Corner to Cherry Tree Hill and Indian Ground. Farm Bridge remains closed until further notice. Access to the Ronald Mapp Highway from Speightstown, and vice versa, is through Warleigh Road.
St. Thomas – The footpath and retaining wall at Stoney Gully have been completed, and preparation for paving continues. Clean up of slipper and kerb coming from the Mangrove landfill. Pothole patching will be carried out in Porey Spring, Jackson, Rockhall and Section of the Highway 2A..
St. James – Concrete works ongoing at Oxnards, while manhole repairs are being carried out at Road View. Debushing at Douglin Road, Taylor Road and the Ronald Mapp Highway. Pothole patching to be done along Highway 1, Ronald Mapp Highway and Warleigh Road.
St. Michael – Pothole patching is beind done in Grazettes, Fairfield and Lower and Upper Wavell. Construction of a bounce up is ongoing in Parkinson Field, The Pine. On the Mighty Grynner Highway, just outside of Central Purchasing, repairs to a section of the road which sunk, are mostly completed. This area will soon be patched. In Grazettes, in the vicinity of the primary school, work on concrete bollards, to be installed, is on hold. Manhole repairs are on hold at the junction of Beckles Road and Bay Street. The construction of the slipper and kerb in Clapham is also on hold.
St. Joseph – Debushing will be carried out in Bloomsbury while pothole patiching will be done in Blackmans Tenantry, Branchbury and Cotton Tower.
St. Andrew – Masonry work is being done at Brucevale and Coggins Hill. Road repairs continue at Trio Path and road reinstatement at Lakes Village. Road construction continues in Swanns. Persons are reminded not to drive on Swanns Bridge, which has been closed due to deterioration. Motorists and public transportation can now use Springfield to Newton Crescent bypass road during the closure of Melvin Hill bridge.
