WORK PROGRESSING UNDER THE SCOTLAND DISTRICT ROAD REHABILITATION PROGRAMME

Work is continuing under the Ministry of Transport and Works’ (MTW) $230 million Scotland District Road Rehabilitation Programme, where paving has been completed on a couple of roads.

Since the start of the new year, the China National Complete Plant Import and Export Corporation (COMPLANT) team, in collaboration with contractor C.O. Williams Construction Ltd., has completed paving at Mose Bottom, St. Andrew and Orange Hill, St. James.

Work is also ongoing on a number of other projects under the Scotland District Road Rehabilitation Programme. At present, work is being undertaken in Trio Path, Dark Hole Bridge, Ermy Bourne Highway Phase 1, White Hill Phase 2, Babylon Road, all in St. Andrew. Work is also continuing along Highway F (Bath Road, St. John), Airy Hill, St. Joseph, Highway 1C, St. Lucy and Bruce Vale, St. Andrew, where bridge work is being done.

 Coggins Hill, Laynes Bridge, White Hill, (Phase One and Two), Shorey Village, all in St. Andrew, Vaughns Road No. 2, St. Joseph, Chance Hill, Jemmotts Road and the Animal Flower Cave Road in St. Lucy have already been completed. Meanwhile, work on Reece Road in St. Thomas and the Link Road in Four Hill/Prospect, St. Peter, has also been finished. (PR/MTW)
