B & R INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED – MILLING AND PAVING A SECTION OF HIGHWAY 2A

The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW), in partnership with its contractor B&R Infrastructure Limited, is advising the public that a section of Highway 2A – Ronald Mapp, will be reduced to one lane, starting Monday February 9, to facilitate milling and paving for approximately one month, weather permitting.

The work will be carried out from 8.30 p.m. nightly to 5.00 a.m. the following morning, when both lanes of the road will be reopened.

The sections of highway to be milled and paved are from the Arch Hall Fire Station to MTW’s Bagatelle Depot and from the Lancaster School Meals Centre to the St. Thomas Anglican Church.

During the work period, road users should expect minor delays. Motorists are encouraged to reduce their speed when approaching the worksite and to use alternative routes, where possible. Motorists are also encouraged to be cautious while travelling through the construction zone and to obey the directions of the flag-persons and the signs posted.

MTW and B&R Infrastructure Limited apologise for the inconvenience and thank businesses, residents, and motorists for their understanding and cooperation, as they continue to improve our island’s road network. (PR/MTW)
