As part of the Scotland District Road Rehabilitation Project, the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) contractor, the Chinese National Complete Plant Import and Export Corporation (COMPLANT) in conjunction with subcontractor Natron Inc., will commence milling on Highway C (Orange Hill) St. James from the roundabout going up the hill for approximately 60 – 80 meters. The work will start tonight, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
As a result, the road will be closed to through traffic. Local access will be permitted to residents, businesses, public transport and Emergency Services only. All other traffic will be diverted along Highway 2A to the traffic lights at Westmoreland, making the right turn to Highway C1 through St. Silas, Water Hall, Apes Hill until the intersection at Endeavor/Highway C.
Road users are asked to comply with the directions of the personnel directing traffic and all signage posted in the area.
