Road Rehabilitation of Bank Hall Cross Road, St. Michael: Lower Bank Hall traffic lights to traffic lights junction at Eastmond Corner

The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will carry out road rehabilitation on Bank Hall Cross Road in St. Michael from the Lower Bank Hall Traffic Lights to the traffic lights junction at Station Hill/Eastmond Corner under its Focused Roads Programme.

On Monday, July 21, 2025, Infra Construction Inc. will begin road works, which will continue for approximately four weeks from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. nightly. The scope of work includes excavation, deep milling, sidewalk restoration, slipper and kerb repairs, and paving.

Test pits were dug along this road on Friday, July 11, 2025. Test pits are a crucial preparatory step in road rehabilitation as they provide critical information about the road’s subbase.

Commuters travelling on the Oistins/Speightstown and City Circle routes are asked to note that Transport Board and Public Service Vehicles (PSV), on reaching the James C. Tudor (Globe) Roundabout, will continue on to Roebuck Street, turn right onto Country Road, turn right again on to Lower Bank Hall Main Road and then turn left to rejoin the normal route at Bank Hall Cross Road. This route will be followed in the reverse.  MTW and Infra Construction Inc. apologise for the inconvenience and thank businesses, residents, and motorists for their understanding and cooperation.
